Our Teachers

All of our teachers are passionate about music and the development of children.

They create a fun, informal, social setting that spurs engagement and supports each child's musical development.

Aimee began Lakes Country Music Together in the fall of 2003 after completing her Music Together teacher training in Chicago, Illinois.  Aimee has a passion for both music and children and felt that Music Together® bridged both passions.

She has played flute for over 40 years and currently plays in the Trine orchestra locally.  Aimee also taught and directed preschool for over 10 years.

In addition to teaching Music Together mixed aged classes and Big Kids classes, she also enjoys teaching flute and piano privately in her home and the local middle schools.

Karolyn has been a trained Music Together teacher since 2012 after participating with her own children. She believes it's important to provide children and their parents wonderful opportunities to discover their own musicality.  She absolutely loves fostering the parent/child experience and makes that the goal of every class.

Karolyn has always enjoyed music. She learned to play the flute at a young age, took dance, and enjoyed being in and teaching dramas. Of course, she loves to sing!

Karolyn was an Elementary School Teacher for 7 years before her children were born.  She is very involved with her church and invested in the lives of her community.  People are her passion.

She has been a preschool teacher since 2010. Her favorite part of working with children is watching them as they grasp new concepts.

Lydia has been playing the piano for over 20 years and enjoys playing at her local church. She also loves singing and dancing with her kids at home.

Although Heidi is new to Music Together, she has grown-up in a musical family and  knows the benefits Music brings and want to share that with others.

As a middle school math teacher, she often incorporated music into her curriculum to make it easier to remember or simply to keep the students' attention. Her favorite part about working with children is watching them have that "AHA!" moment and thoroughly enjoying what they're doing.

Heidi loves to sing, dance, and write her own songs. In school, she played the flute and percussion. She also performed in choir and musicals. Heidi currently leads worship at church and loves being musical with her own kids.
